The Story Behind Our Organization
Started in 2000 to address a growing need for the community, LaFayette Community Council is a unique organization that offers a rewarding and engaging experience for participants. We understand and accept our responsibilities, which is why we offer inclusive programs that are accessible to individuals from every background, and continually strive to advance our mission.

Vice President Crystal Compton and Secretary Caitlin Lundy!
Chris(tine) Baker, president of LCC, is a 1998 alumna of LaFayette. She has been helping organize LCC’s youth sports since 2021. In addition to being a full time Special Education teacher at LaFayette JSHS, she is mom of two boys. Jacob is in 8th grade and Sammy, currently in 6th, will be aging out of LCC sports in June 2026.

Hillary Bevens is LCC’s clerk. She is in charge of rolling out our registrations, keeping the website up to date, and monitoring our FB profile. Hillary is a 2007 LaFayette alumna, mom of two busy boys (Samuel is in 3rd grade and Miles is in 1st), and an 8-12 grade science teacher at Faith Heritage School.

Crystal Compton, vice president of LCC, is a LaFayette alumna of the class of 2007. She is mom to two boys, George is in 2nd grade and Charlie is in Kindergarten, who have been enjoying every sport offered by LCC. Crystal is working on her Yoga Teacher Certification while she enjoys more time with her family, doing home projects and building her homestead.

Katie Kautz is also a full-time working Mom. She has been LCC’s treasurer since 2023 and works in the Fayetteville Manlius District Office. Katie’s daughter, Samantha, is currently in 6th grade and will be aging out of LCC sports in June 2026.


Caitlin Lundy, LCC secretary, is a lifelong LaFayette resident and previous LCC participant. A graduate of Bishop Ludden and Norwich University, Caitlin is Mom of 3 girls (Iris 9 months, Arabella 7th grade and Teagan 9th grade). She is employed with the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office.
