About
The Story Behind Our Organization
Started in 2000 to address a growing need for the community, LaFayette Community Council is a unique organization that offers a rewarding and engaging experience for participants. We understand and accept our responsibilities, which is why we offer inclusive programs that are accessible to individuals from every background, and continually strive to advance our mission.
LCC Board of Directors

LaFayette Community Council (LCC) organizes and runs a variety of sports for the youth of LaFayette. We are also able to offer some adult programming. LCC is funded by the Town of LaFayette, youth registration fees and generous donations.

LCC needs you now, more than ever! We have been functioning without a vice-president for some time. Three out of the 4 other positions will be vacant by next June. PLEASE come on board NOW to learn the ropes before we move on with our children. As you can see, our officers (and coaches) are busy, working parents just like you!
LCC has monthly meetings, typically the 3rd Tuesday of each month. You can find more information on our webpage (playlcc.com) and FB page (LaFayette Community Council).
Kim Tingley, president of LCC, moved into the district in 2018 and has been helping organize LCC’s youth sports since 2021. Hillary Bevens is LCC’s clerk. She is in charge of rolling out our registrations, keeping the website up to date, and monitoring our FB profile. Hillary is a 2007 LaFayette alumna, mom of two busy boys (Samuel is in 2nd grade and Miles is in Kindergarten), and an 8-12 grade science teacher at Faith Heritage School

Members needed! We need more people now that all planning and implementation of programs has reverted back to volunteers. Everyone is encouraged to attend and participate in the programs that are being offered. Volunteers are always needed to make the program of the quality we would like to see. Please join us at our next meeting and share your thoughts.

Please consider joining us for future LCC meetings - all are welcome! Meeting dates and times are posted on the LCC Facebook page, the LCC Website, and emailed to those on our email list. All of our officers are full-time working parents, just like you. We work very hard to ensure we have fun sports and activities, but we cannot do it without your help. That being said, please read below and get involved!
